AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE NINTH JUDICIAL DISTRICT ATTORNEY FOR ADDITIONAL EMPLOYEES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred sixty-one thousand nine hundred dollars ($161,900) is appropriated from the general fund to the ninth judicial district attorney for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 for salaries and benefits for two additional district attorneys and one program specialist due to increased workload. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the general fund.
