AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE HISTORIC PRESERVATION DIVISION OF THE CULTURAL AFFAIRS DEPARTMENT TO CONTRACT FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS IN HISTORIC PRESERVATION AND REGIONALISM.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred twenty-five thousand dollars ($125,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the historic preservation division of the cultural affairs department for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 and subsequent fiscal years to contract for the development of educational programs in historic preservation and regionalism. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of a fiscal year shall not revert to the general fund.
