AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR DEVELOPMENT OF AND IMPROVEMENTS TO THE NORTHWEST LOOP ROAD IN SANDOVAL COUNTY.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three million dollars ($3,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of transportation for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 for continuing development of and improvements to the Northwest Loop road in Sandoval county to ultimately connect interstate 40 and interstate 25 around and west of Albuquerque and Rio Rancho in Bernalillo and Sandoval counties. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the general fund.
