AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO ESTABLISH A COMMUNITY HEALTH WORKER REGIONAL TRAINING CENTER.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of health for expenditure in fiscal years 2006 through 2008 for the office of border health to establish and maintain a community health worker regional training center to provide resources, technical assistance and computer literacy training opportunities in southern New Mexico. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2008 shall revert to the general fund.
