AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO SERVE ADDITIONAL PERSONS IN THE MEDICAID WAIVER PROGRAM FOR THE DISABLED AND ELDERLY.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three million dollars ($3,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the aging and long-term services department in fiscal year 2006 to provide services to approximately four hundred fifty persons eligible for the medicaid waiver program for the disabled and elderly who are not currently enrolled due to insufficient program funding. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the general fund.
