AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A COMPUTERIZED LEARNING SYSTEM THAT ALIGNS PUBLIC SCHOOL CURRICULA TO NEW MEXICO ACADEMIC CONTENT STANDARDS AND THE STATEWIDE ASSESSMENT PROGRAM.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Six million dollars ($6,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the public education department for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 to continue funding for a computerized learning system that aligns public school curricula to the criterion reference tests, New Mexico content standards and benchmarks and current textbooks and public education department voluntary curriculum. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the general fund.
