FORTY-SEVENTH LEGISLATURE

    Your BUSINESS AND INDUSTRY COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE BILL 475

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

      1. On page 15, line 11, strike "On or before October 28, 2005, a" and insert in lieu thereof "A".

      2. On page 15, lines 20 through 23, strike Subsection B in its entirety.

      3. Reletter the succeeding subsections accordingly.

      4. On page 19, line 20, strike the quotation marks.

      5. On page 19, between lines 20 and 21, insert the following new subsection:

          "E. On or after July 1, 2005, the holder of a wrecker of vehicles license desiring to renew the license shall apply for an auto recycler license, pursuant to the provisions of the Motor Vehicle Code, at the time the holder would have otherwise applied to renew the wrecker of vehicles license."".

      6. On page 19, line 25, after "dealer" strike the remainder of the line.

      7. On page 20, line 1, strike "recycler".

      8. On page 20, lines 2 and 3, strike the colon and the paragraph designation "(1)".

      9. On page 20, line 6, strike the semicolon and insert in lieu thereof a period.

     10. On page 20, between lines 6 and 7, insert the following new subsection and paragraph:

          "B. An auto recycler licensee shall maintain a record in a form prescribed by the department of:

                (1) every vehicle of a type subject to registration pursuant to the provisions of the Motor Vehicle Code that is bought, exchanged or received and dismantled or otherwise destroyed by the licensee; and".

     11. On page 20, line 8, strike "; and" and insert in lieu thereof "by the licensee.".

     12. On page 20, lines 9 and 10, strike Paragraph (3) in its entirety.

     13. Reletter the succeeding subsections accordingly.,

and thence referred to the JUDICIARY COMMITTEE.
