AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE FIRST PHASE OF IMPROVEMENTS IDENTIFIED IN THE LOWER LA BARRANCA DRAINAGE FACILITY PLAN.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred sixty-eight thousand dollars ($368,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of transportation for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 for the first phase of improvements identified in the approved lower La Barranca drainage facility plan to stabilize the reach directly downstream of the New Mexico highway 528 crossing and to protect the crossing, the existing soil cement drop structure and the adjacent residential areas from erosion damage in Sandoval county. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the general fund.
