HOUSE GOVERNMENT AND URBAN AFFAIRS COMMITTEE
SUBSTITUTE FOR HOUSE BILL 449
has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:
1. On page 1, lines 18 and 19, strike "--CRIMINAL PENALTY".
2. On page 1, lines 24 and 25, strike “Paragraph (2) of”.
3. On page 2, line 3, strike “pursuant to the Open Meetings Act”, and strike “use of”.
4. On page 2, line 16, strike "may" and insert in lieu thereof "shall".
5. On page 2, line 18, strike the colon.
6. On page 2, lines 19 and 20, strike Paragraph (1) in its entirety.
7. On page 2, line 21, strike the paragraph designation "(2)".
8. Change the succeeding subparagraph designations to paragraph designations accordingly.
9. On page 3, line 4, strike “or local ordinance”.
10. On page 3, line 8, after the subsection designation "G." strike lines 8 through 12 in their entirety and insert in lieu thereof "A county or municipality may at its option, and if it has the capability, permit access or use of its computer and network system to search, manipulate or retrieve information from a computer database and charge reasonable fees based on the cost of materials, personnel time, access time and the use of the county or municipality's computer network.".
11. On page 3, line 13, after the subsection designation "H." strike lines 13 through 20 in their entirety and insert in lieu thereof "A reasonable fee, as provided in Subsections E and G of this section, shall be set by ordinance of the respective board of county commissioners or governing body of a municipality."".
