HOUSE FLOOR AMENDMENT number ___1__ to HOUSE JUDICIARY COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE FOR HOUSE BILL 382

Amendment sponsored by Representative Hector H. Balderas

    1. On page 3, lines 13 through 15, strike Subsection I in its entirety and insert in lieu thereof the following new subsection:

         "I. This section shall not be construed to exclude otherwise admissible evidence in any judicial proceeding.".

    2. On page 3, between lines 15 and 16, insert the following new section:

    "Section 2. SEVERABILITY.--If any part of Section 1 of this act is held invalid, the remainder shall not be affected.".

    3. Renumber the succeeding section accordingly.
