    Your CONSUMER AND PUBLIC AFFAIRS COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE BILL 378

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

     1. On page 1, line 19, strike "blank" and insert in lieu thereof "bank".

     2. On page 2, lines 2 and 3, strike "contrasting color letters".

     3. On page 2, line 2, after the comma insert "legible letters, at least five times larger than the next smaller letters printed on the check, prominently displayed".

     4. On page 2, line 3, strike "blank" and insert in lieu thereof "bank".,

and thence referred to the BUSINESS AND INDUSTRY COMMITTEE.
