AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH TO SUPPORT A SHELTER FOR VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE IN SHIPROCK.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 to support a shelter for victims of domestic violence in Shiprock, including providing increased staffing. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the general fund.
