    Your JUDICIARY COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE BUSINESS AND INDUSTRY COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE FOR HOUSE BILL 281

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

     1. On page 3, line 6, strike "or".

     2. On page 3, line 8, after the semicolon insert "or".

     3. On page 3, between lines 8 and 9, insert the following new subparagraph:

                     "(c) the safety or security of property or facilities owned or leased by governmental agencies;".

     4. On page 4, line 21, after “include” insert “apartments,”.

     5. On page 4, line 22, after “agency” insert a “comma”.

     6. On page 5, line 19, strike the ending quotation mark and between lines 19 and 20 insert the following new subsection:

          "I. Nothing in this section shall be construed to impair the obligation of any contract to which the commercial private property owner or tenant was a party on the effective date of this 2005 act, or to limit the rights of parties to such contracts to enforce their rights under the contract by action or suit."".
