AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO SUPPORT THE FAMILY STRENGTHENING INITIATIVE AT NEW MEXICO STATE UNIVERSITY.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two million dollars ($2,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 to provide an estimated sixty-five thousand hours of family strengthening and parenting classes to more than eight hundred parents and one thousand two hundred children in high-risk families with limited economic resources. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the general fund.
