AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE INTERSTATE STREAM COMMISSION FOR A CLOUD-SEEDING PROJECT IN THE JEMEZ Y SANGRE REGIONAL WATER PLANNING DISTRICT.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Four hundred thousand dollars ($400,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the interstate stream commission for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 to conduct phase one of a pilot cloud-seeding project in the Jemez y Sangre regional water planning district. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the general fund.
