    Your EDUCATION COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE BILL 157

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

    1. On page 1, line 19, after leadership, insert the following language. “New Mexico State University shall submit a plan for program evaluation, including specific program goals and criteria for assessing program effectiveness to the Legislative Finance Committee and the Commission on Higher Education by October 1, 2005. The institution shall also submit a program evaluation to the Legislative Finance Committee and the Commission on Higher Education by June 30, 2008 detailing the benefits to the State of New Mexico from having the program implemented for a three year period.”,

and thence referred to the APPROPRIATIONS AND FINANCE COMMITTEE.
