AN ACT

RELATING TO STATE PARKS; ENACTING A NEW SECTION OF THE NMSA 1978 TO PROVIDE FOR COOPERATIVE AGREEMENTS BETWEEN THE STATE PARKS DIVISION AND PARKS SUPPORT GROUPS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. A new section of Chapter 16, Article 2 NMSA 1978 is enacted to read:

     "[NEW MATERIAL] COOPERATIVE AGREEMENTS WITH STATE PARK SUPPORT GROUPS.--The secretary of energy, minerals and natural resources shall adopt rules for cooperative agreements with state park support groups, and the rules shall include provisions for:

          A. applicability of concession contract process;

          B. the handling of money raised from donations and retail sales; and

          C. use of state park resources by and nonmonetary compensation for volunteers."
