    Your CONSUMER AND PUBLIC AFFAIRS COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE BILL 117

has had it under consideration and reports same WITHOUT RECOMMENDATION amended as follows:

1. On page 1, strike Section 1 in its entirety and insert in lieu thereof:

     "Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Nine hundred fifty thousand dollars ($950,000) is appropriated from the retiree health care fund to the retiree health care authority for expenditure in fiscal year 2005 to fund program operations, including the establishment of a satellite office in Santa Fe, the planning, acquiring, furnishing and equipping of which shall be at the sole discretion of the board of the retiree health care authority in consultation with the legislative finance committee, and further provided that the department of finance and administration and the general services department shall approve and expedite eligible expenditures, contracts and related activities for this purpose. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2005 shall revert to the retiree health care fund.".
