AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE NEW MEXICO SMALL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT CENTER AT SANTA FE COMMUNITY COLLEGE.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three million dollars ($3,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the commission on higher education for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 to fund the statewide New Mexico small business development center at Santa Fe community college to enhance existing core services and implement additional program services by assisting small businesses in international trade, implement formal business retention and expansion projects in local regions served, support business incubation efforts in regions served by community colleges and local small business development center offices, provide services and support for quality management training to small businesses and expand outreach to underserved communities. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the general fund.
