HOUSE BILL 54

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

1. On page 1, line 13, strike "; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY".

     2. On page 3, lines 8 and 9, strike "Five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000)" and insert in lieu thereof "Seven hundred thousand dollars ($700,000)".

     3. On page 3, lines 10 and 11, strike "years 2005 and" and insert in lieu thereof "year".

     4. On page 3, line 14, after "percent" insert "cash".

     5. On page 3, line 15, after "recipient" insert "and the recipient must demonstrate a reasonable strategy or plan for sustainable operations for the period after the grant funds expire".

     6. On page 3, line 20, strike "years 2005 and" and insert in lieu thereof "year".

     7. On pages 3 and 4, strike Section 4 in its entirety.,

and thence referred to the APPROPRIATIONS AND FINANCE COMMITTEE.
