AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE INTERSTATE STREAM COMMISSION FOR THE GALLUP-NAVAJO PIPELINE PROJECT.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Eight million four hundred thousand dollars ($8,400,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the interstate stream commission for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 to initiate the Gallup-Navajo pipeline project. The appropriation in this bill is contingent on matching money being made available from the federal government. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the general fund.
