A RESOLUTION

REQUESTING THAT CAPITAL OUTLAY FUNDS BE DISTRIBUTED EQUALLY AMONG MEMBERS OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES.

     WHEREAS, capital outlay funds are an important funding source for projects in New Mexico communities; and

     WHEREAS, capital outlay funds are currently distributed so that some house districts receive more funding than other districts; and

     WHEREAS, districts should receive an equitable distribution of capital outlay funding for projects regardless of who represents those districts;

     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO that capital outlay funding for projects funded from the general fund and by severance tax bonds be distributed equally among all of the members of the house of representatives for their respective districts.
