Your PUBLIC AFFAIRS COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred
SENATE JOINT MEMORIAL 72
has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:
1. On page 1, line 11, strike "LEAD A STUDY" and insert in lieu thereof "REVIEW AND PROVIDE INFORMATION".
2. On page 2, strike lines 10 through 14 in their entirety.
3. On page 2, line 22, after "aging" strike the remainder of the line and strike lines 23 through 25 in their entirety and on page 3, strike lines 1 through 21 in their entirety and insert in lieu thereof:
"work with the state Alzheimer's association to organize a meeting between the state agency on aging and the Alzheimer's association board to discuss enhancing consumer education for long-term care financing options; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the state agency on aging hold a workshop at the annual conference on aging to provide consumer education on long-term care financing options; and".
4. On page 3, line 22, strike "copies" and insert in lieu thereof "a copy".
5. On page 3, lines 23 and 24, strike "and the human services department".
