Your INDIAN AND CULTURAL AFFAIRS COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred
SENATE JOINT MEMORIAL 67
has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:
1. On page 1, lines 12 and 13, strike ", THE OFFICE OF THE ATTORNEY GENERAL".
2. On page 1, line 19, after the semicolon insert "and".
3. On page 1, strike lines 20 through 22 in their entirety.
4. On page 1, lines 24 and 25, strike "in Indian nations, tribes and pueblos".
5. On page 1, line 25, after "frame" insert "and may need a new capital request or may need to be reauthorized".
6. On page 2, line 7, strike "may" and insert in lieu thereof "already exist to".
7. On page 2, strike lines 11 through 14 in their entirety and insert in lieu thereof "STATE OF NEW MEXICO that the office of the governor, the department of finance and administration and the New Mexico office of Indian affairs or its successor agency collaborate with New Mexico Indian nations, tribes and pueblos to develop a strategic plan for capital projects on Indian lands; and".
8. On page 2, strike lines 15 through 25 in their entirety and on page 3, strike lines 1 through 3 in their entirety.
9. On page 3, line 22, strike ", the office of the attorney general and the" and strike lines 23 and 24 in their entirety and insert in lieu thereof "and all New Mexico Indian nations, tribes and pueblos".
