A JOINT MEMORIAL

REQUESTING THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO ASSUME RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE MAINTENANCE OF UPPER RANCHITOS ROAD IN TAOS COUNTY.

     WHEREAS, the cost to maintain Upper Ranchitos road far exceeds Taos county's financial ability to maintain it;

     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO that the department of transportation be requested to assume responsibility for the maintenance of Upper Ranchitos road in Taos county; and

     BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this memorial be transmitted to the secretary of transportation.
