    Your JUDICIARY COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE JOINT MEMORIAL 12

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

     1. On page 1, line 11, strike "NEW MEXICO'S DISTRICT ATTORNEYS AND".

     2. On page 2, strike lines 20 through 22 in their entirety.

     3. On page 3, line 3, strike "New Mexico's district attorneys and".

     4. On page 3, between lines 6 and 7, insert the following:

     "BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, because the consumer protection division of the New Mexico attorney general's office is responsible for enforcing the state's consumer protection laws, including the state Indian Arts and Crafts Sales Act, the consumer protection division be requested to enforce state consumer protection laws; and".

     5. On page 3, lines 8 and 9, strike "New Mexico's district attorneys and attorney general and".

     6. On page 3, line 9, before the period insert "and the consumer protection division of the New Mexico attorney general's office".
