SUMMARY

Synopsis of Bill

Senate Bill 47 requests that the PED include ENLACE in New Mexico in the membership of community input bodies established by the PED. It also requests that the PED report on its inclusion of ENLACE by November 2004 to the Legislative Education Study Committee (LESC).

Significant Issues

ENLACE in New Mexico has demonstrated its commitment and effectiveness in improving schools and communities where Latino students are enrolled.
