SUMMARY
Synopsis of Bill
The Senate Education
Committee substitute for Senate Bill 581 substantively amends one definition in
the Liquor Control and makes technical corrections to others. The “licensed
premises” definition is amended. The bill carries an emergency clause.
Significant Issues
This bill allows a business, with two independent
locations, the opportunity to operate under one license only in cases where the
voters in a local option district have not allowed for liquor licenses to be
transferred into the district. Businesses must have been in operation since
