Synopsis of Bill
Senate Bill 216 appropriates $330.0 to provide a
cost-of –living adjustment, start independent living programs in unserved counties, and support rural independent living
services.
Significant Issues
The bill if enacted would provide independent
living services to New Mexicans with disabilities and the opportunity to
increase their independence. The funding would enable the agency to provide
these services to unserved counties and rural areas.
