SUMMARY
Synopsis of Bill
Senate Bill 30 appropriates $4.4 thousand from
the Workers’ Compensation Administration Fund to the Workers’ Compensation
Administration for the purpose of increasing the director’s salary. Additionally, the bill decreases the amount
of time a former ombudsman must wait to hold another job in an administration
from five years to one year.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
The bill changes the Workers’ Compensation
Administration director salary from 95 percent of district court judges to 95
percent of court of appeals judges. The
appropriation of $4.4 thousand contained in this bill is a recurring expense to
the Workers’ Compensation Administration Fund. Any unexpended or unencumbered
balance remaining at the end of 2005 shall revert to the Workers’ Compensation
Administration Fund.
