SUMMARY
Synopsis of Bill
House Joint Memorial 66 requests the United
States Congress amend the Radiation Exposure Compensation Act to include
enhanced compensable disease coverage and to reduce the stringent medical exam
requirement to qualify for compensable disease coverage.
Significant Issues
Congress amended the Federal Radiation Exposure
Compensation Act in 2000. The act compensates
uranium industry workers who developed terminal diseases or other health problems.
