SUMMARY

 

Synopsis of Bill

 

House Bill 567 proposes to amend the Election Code to change the hours of operation of early voting sites in non-Class A counties.  Currently, county clerks in medium and small population counties are required to operate early voting sites Tuesday through Saturday.  This would change those days of operation to Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Wednesday and Friday from noon until 8:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. the week prior to the election.
