SUMMARY

Synopsis of Bill

Senate Bill 285 appropriates $100.0 from the general fund to the Commission for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Persons for the purpose of statewide outreach efforts, including case management and sign language interpretation for deaf and hard-of –hearing persons. The bill contains an emergency clause.

FISCAL IMPLICATIONS

The appropriation of $100 thousand contained in this bill is a recurring expense to the general fund. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of Fiscal Year 2005shall revert to the general fund.
