SUMMARY
Synopsis of Bill
House Bill 275 makes changes to current
legislation relating to the Parole Board.
The bill specifies that the Parole Board is
administratively attached to the Corrections Department, gives the Parole Board
Chairman the responsibility of scheduling hearings for the Board and creates a
new section of law that sets out the powers and duties of the director of the Parole
Board which were formerly set out as powers of the Board as a whole.
