SENATE CAPITAL OUTLAY REQUEST 1206

STATE OF NEW MEXICO

46TH LEGISLATURE - SECOND SESSION - 2004

REQUESTED BY Leonard Tsosie

FOR CAPITAL PROJECTS IN THE NAVAJO NATION.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

• to the department of transportation

one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) to improve Casamero road in the Casamero Lake chapter of the Navajo Nation in McKinley county; and

one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) to improve Haystack road in the Navajo Nation in San Juan county; and

• to the New Mexico office of Indian affairs

one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) to plan, design and construct a water line for the White Horse Lake chapter of the Navajo Nation in McKinley county;

one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) to plan, design and construct a telephone system in the Rock Springs chapter of the Navajo Nation in McKinley county;

one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) to plan, design and construct towers for telecommunications in the Navajo Nation in Rio Arriba, Sandoval and McKinley counties;

one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) to plan, design and construct a daycare facility in Navajo in San Juan county; and

one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) to plan, design and construct a powerline in the White Rock chapter of the Navajo Nation in San Juan county.
