SENATE CAPITAL OUTLAY REQUEST 219

STATE OF NEW MEXICO

46TH LEGISLATURE - SECOND SESSION - 2004

REQUESTED BY Carroll H. Leavell

FOR CAPITAL PROJECTS IN EDDY COUNTY.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

• to the local government division of the department of finance and administration

two hundred sixty-seven thousand five hundred dollars ($267,500) for the design and construction of a community center in Queen in Eddy county;

ninety thousand dollars ($90,000) for the purchase of a command and crime scene vehicle for the sheriff's department in Eddy county; and

seventy-one thousand dollars ($71,000) for the design and construction of a battered families shelter in Carlsbad in Eddy county; and

• to the office of the state engineer

two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) for the development of a collaborative, area-wide water system plan in Eddy county.
