SENATE CAPITAL OUTLAY REQUEST 80

STATE OF NEW MEXICO

46TH LEGISLATURE - SECOND SESSION - 2004

FOR CAPITAL PROJECTS IN PORTALES IN ROOSEVELT COUNTY.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

• to the department of transportation

two hundred thirty thousand dollars ($230,000) for road improvements, including right-of-way acquisitions, to avenue O from Lime street to Spruce street in Portales in Roosevelt county;

three hundred fifty thousand dollars ($350,000) for improvements to streets, including rights-of-way acquisition, in Portales in Roosevelt county; and

two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) for improvements for the road to the cheese plant in Portales in Roosevelt county; and

• to the local government division of the department of finance and administration

one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) for purchasing equipment for the street department in Portales in Roosevelt county;

sixty thousand dollars ($60,000) to plan, design and construct improvements and to purchase and install playground equipment for municipal parks in Portales in Roosevelt county;

one hundred twenty-five thousand dollars ($125,000) to plan, design and construct improvements for streetscaping to the Main street area in Portales in Roosevelt county; and

three hundred twenty-five thousand dollars ($325,000) to plan, design, construct and renovate various municipal buildings in Portales in Roosevelt county.
