SENATE CAPITAL OUTLAY REQUEST 60

STATE OF NEW MEXICO

46TH LEGISLATURE - SECOND SESSION - 2004

FOR CAPITAL PROJECTS IN EDDY COUNTY.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

• to the state agency on aging

fifty-two thousand dollars ($52,000) to plan, design and construct an addition to the senior center in Artesia in Eddy county;

• to the local government division of the department of finance and administration

one hundred eighty thousand dollars ($180,000) for construction of a restroom and concession stand facility at the fairgrounds in Eddy county;

seventy thousand eight hundred four dollars ($70,804) for phase 1 construction of a residential shelter facility in Eddy county;

ninety thousand dollars ($90,000) to purchase a vehicle for evidence collection for the sheriff's department in Eddy county;

one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) to plan, design and construct a motorcycle training track at the Artesia vocational training center in Eddy county; and

two hundred sixty-seven thousand five hundred dollars ($267,500) to plan, design and construct a community center for Queen in Eddy county; and

• to the office of the state engineer

two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) for a collaborative area-wide water system plan for Carlsbad, Malaga, Loving and Otis in Eddy county.
