AN ACT

RELATING TO MEDICAID; MAINTAINING CURRENT MEDICAID PROVIDER REIMBURSEMENT LEVELS FOR PROVIDERS RENDERING SERVICES FOR THE DISABLED.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. A new section of the Public Assistance Act is enacted to read:

     "[NEW MATERIAL] PROVIDER REIMBURSEMENT.--For fiscal year 2005, medicaid provider reimbursement rates, fees or payment schedules shall not be reduced below the rates, fees or payment schedules in effect on January 1, 2004 for providers that render services for medicaid recipients eligible on the basis of a disability."
