AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A VOTER REGISTRATION PROJECT FOR YOUNG CITIZENS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Sixty thousand dollars ($60,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the secretary of state for expenditure in fiscal year 2005 for a voter registration project to assist young citizens in institutions of higher education to vote. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2005 shall revert to the general fund.
