AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION IN SUPPORT OF REGIONAL SENIOR COMPANION PROGRAMS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION--SENIOR COMPANION PROGRAMS.-- Fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the state agency on aging for expenditure in fiscal 2005 to support growth of senior companion programs in Guadalupe and Quay counties. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2005 shall revert to the general fund.
