AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO SUPPORT A MENTORING PROGRAM IN BEHAVIORAL HEALTH EDUCATION AND CIVIC RESPONSIBILITY TRAINING FOR CERTAIN MINORITY STUDENTS IN ALBUQUERQUE PUBLIC SCHOOLS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--MENTORING PROGRAM.--Three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the public education department for expenditure in fiscal year 2005 to support a mentorship program that includes behavioral health education and civic responsibility training for African-American male youth in Albuquerque public schools. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2005 shall revert to the general fund.
