AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO REDUCE THE WAITING LIST FOR SERVICES IN THE DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES MEDICAID WAIVER.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Sixteen million dollars ($16,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of health for expenditure in fiscal years 2005 through 2007 to provide services in New Mexico's developmental disabilities medicaid waiver program to at least nine hundred eligible persons who are not currently enrolled due to insufficient program funding. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2007 shall revert to the general fund.
