AN ACT

RELATING TO LAW ENFORCEMENT; PROVIDING FOR EMPLOYMENT OF LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS IN THE REGULATION AND LICENSING DEPARTMENT.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. A new section of the Regulation and Licensing Department Act is enacted to read:

     "[NEW MATERIAL] LAW ENFORCEMENT PERSONNEL.--The superintendent may employ and designate an appropriate number of persons as law enforcement officers subject to proper certifications pursuant to the Law Enforcement Training Act."
