AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE NEW MEXICO DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE FOR THE NEW MEXICO RURAL DEVELOPMENT RESPONSE COUNCIL TO ENHANCE EXISTING SERVICES, IMPLEMENT ADDITIONAL PROGRAM SERVICES AND MATCH FEDERAL FUNDING.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the New Mexico department of agriculture for expenditure in fiscal year 2005 to the New Mexico rural development response council. The New Mexico rural development response council shall enhance existing core services and implement additional program services by assisting rural communities with community development and implementing programs that address identified needs. The appropriation shall be used to match federal funding. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2005 shall revert to the general fund.
