AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO FUND INDEPENDENT LIVING SERVICES STATEWIDE.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred thirty thousand dollars ($330,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the vocational rehabilitation division of the public education department for expenditure in fiscal year 2005 to contract with centers for independent living statewide to provide a cost-of-living adjustment, start independent living programs in unserved counties and support rural independent living services. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2005 shall revert to the general fund.
