AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO WESTERN NEW MEXICO UNIVERSITY FOR ATHLETIC PROGRAM NEEDS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred seventy-six thousand three hundred dollars ($376,300) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of western New Mexico university for expenditure in fiscal year 2005 for the purpose of funding newly created national collegiate athletic association II athletic requirements at both school and conference levels and to address gender equity requirements at western New Mexico university. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2005 shall revert to the general fund.
