AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO MATCH FEDERAL FUNDS AVAILABLE FOR RESTORATION OF SUPERFUND SITES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two million dollars ($2,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of environment for expenditure in fiscal year 2005 and subsequent fiscal years to match federal money made available to restore superfund sites listed on the national priority list pursuant to the federal Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act of 1980. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of a fiscal year shall not revert to the general fund.
