AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR EXPANSION OF THE NEW MEXICO VIRTUAL SCHOOL.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Four hundred thousand dollars ($400,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the public education department for expenditure in fiscal year 2005 for the New Mexico virtual school to provide statewide curriculum and instruction through interactive technologies and other forms of web-based, interactive distance-learning courses and to provide for expansion of the New Mexico virtual school. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2005 shall revert to the general fund.
