SENATE BILL 34
has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:
1. On page 2, line 6, after "organizations" insert ", pharmaceutical manufacturers".
2. On page 2, line 6, after "organizations" insert ", managed care organizations, major insurers in the state, the human services department, the children, youth and families department, the state agency on aging".
3. On page 3, line 2, strike "state's most prevalent".
4. On page 3, line 4, after "health" insert "that are the greatest cause of illness, injury or death in the state, with special attention to and recognition of the disparities that currently exist for different population groups".
5. On page 3, line 14, after "includes" insert "public health services, emergency medical services,".
6. On page 4, line 7, strike "and".
7. On page 4, line 14, strike the period and the quotation mark and insert in lieu thereof "; and".
8. On page 4, between lines 14 and 15, insert the following new paragraph:
"(13) planning and response to public health emergencies, including bioterrorism, pandemic flu, disease outbreaks and other situations that will require a coordinated response by the health care system."".
